However, the directorial vision often struggled to maintain the sustained tension crucial for a survival thriller, occasionally diluting its emotional potency. The performances, particularly from Jennette McCurdy as Wiley, showcased potential in conveying youthful despair and resilience, yet occasionally lacked the depth to elevate characters beyond their archetypes.
