Andy Edwards' film is a comprehensive failure in merging psychological horror with digital-age aesthetics. The sluggish script cannot salvage the wooden performances of a cast seemingly abandoned in a maze of half-baked ideas about digital-era desires. Uninspired cinematography and clumsily handled sound design render every attempt at atmosphere meaningless. Most disappointing is how the film squanders its thematic potential regarding technology's dark side and human desire, opting instead for cheap thrills and a profound lack of depth.
