Griffith's over-the-top delivery, paradoxically, becomes a highlight, creating essential psychological tension, even if occasionally exaggerated. The film attempts to delve further into the Miyagi-Do philosophy versus Cobra Kai’s aggression, but its execution lacks the depth of the initial installment. Its placement within the 'Karate Kid' universe is significant for expanding the antagonistic world, laying groundwork for later conflicts in 'Cobra Kai,' despite its own artistic shortcomings.
