Detaching from the apartment building siege, this sequel expertly shifts the terror to the claustrophobic confines of a quarantined airport terminal and a doomed aircraft. Pogue's more conventional cinematography still maintains a palpable sense of urgency and chaos, immersing the audience in an uncontrollable viral outbreak.

The ensemble performances, particularly from Josh Cooke as the beleaguered protagonist and the seasoned presence of Lynn Shaye, authentically convey the spectrum of human reactions from sheer panic to desperate, often brutal, survival instincts.
